Birds and Lint

Who says lint is useless? Not me!

I was opening the bedroom window this morning and something moving caught my eye. There, on top of the A/C unit was a thin red-breasted sparrow. In its beak was a very large piece of lint. (Where’s the camera?!)

It looked around and chirped, with its beak closed! I saw its throat muscles move up and down under its feathers. Then it flew off.

I’ve noticed a pair of sparrows gathering bark from the trees and other things, which means they’re building a nest! I keep hearing their birdsong and it sounds sweet and joyful.

Yep, spring is definitely here. The sky is blue, the breeze is refreshing, and the day is bright.

This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
