Profiles in Diligence: Justin Horn

Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,

as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
~ Revelation 3:20-21 ~

Justin is the youngest in the Horn family. When I met him, Justin was about 10 years old and shy. I got to know his sisters by being their  homeschool Spanish and biology teacher, but Justin was in elementary school and I was not able to get to know him as well.

What I do know about Justin is that he has been diligent in overcoming the obstacles in his life. He has had to overcome much, but he is now reaping the fruit of his hard and steady work, both in his personal life and in college—Justin is a line cook in *one of the best Italian restaurants in Napa, California. He is doing the work that he is passionate about and loving it.

I saw Justin at the Christmas Eve service at church, and he looked great. He has grown in stature as a man; God has been at work in Justin’s life in myriad ways. He knows that God’s hand is on his life and is thankful.

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know the Horn family as I know them, and been blessed by their example in diligence. Whenever they come to mind, please pray for them. Thanks.

I end this profile with this song, “He Knows My Name.”
