Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
The LORD has established His throne in heaven,
And His kingdom rules over all.
~ Psalm 103:1, 19 ~
Today, Dad would have been 82-years-old; it is his first birthday in heaven. It made me wonder how he was celebrating his birthday. Hmm… Are birthdays celebrated in heaven?
Since I am not privy to what goes on in heaven, I celebrated Dad’s birthday by thanking God for him, for saving him, and for the fact that he is home with Him.
I also listened to some praise music; two of the songs I heard were by Robin Mark, When It’s All Said and Done, and Be Unto Your Name. Thinking about Dad being in heaven and us being here on earth, got me thinking about how I am living my life, how I am praising my Lord, and what praise and worship will be like heaven. What are your thoughts?
Lord, You are God in heaven; and on earth, You dwell in our hearts — there is none like You! Thank You for loving us and drawing us to Yourself. Blessed is Your name!
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy,
Because of Your truth.
~ Psalm 115:1 ~
Holy, holy, holy
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!
~ Revelation 4:8 ~
You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.
~ Revelation 4:11 ~
