The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.
~ Psalm 29:11 ~
The blessings of our Lord come in many ways, but most often, for me, they come through Scripture. This morning it came through Psalm 29:11. He knew I was going to need strength for the day because my sleep was restless.
My friend sent the Psalm 29:11 verse via text message this morning. Not only has He given me strength for this day, but also rejoicing because my Father knows what I need and provides it for me.
This morning has also given me a song to sing, one that I learned in the 90’s; it has brought peace that comes from singing the song of Moses in Exodus 15:2 and also Psalm 118:14:
The Lord is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.
It is good to be a child of the Most High God and to “enter into His courts with thanksgiving and into His gates with praise” (Psalm 100:4).
Dear Father, thank You for knowing our needs and providing for us; for the song that You place in our hearts that brings rejoicing and peace; and for the multitude of blessings that come from being Your child. I will go forth in Your joy and strength, because the “joy of the LORD is [my] strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Praising Him who brought me to You! Amen!
