For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.
Sunday morning during the last song of the service, I heard, behind me, a voice full of vibrato passionately singing to the Lord. The more I heard this young woman sing this song of thanksgiving, the more my heart joined hers in thanking Him for loving us.
The song was, “The Lost Are Found,” by Hillsong. It speaks of who God is and what He does for all who are willing to believe in His Son. I was lost, but He found me and brought me home; I was blind, but He gave me eyes that see; I was lame, but He healed me so I could walk in His ways; and I was dead, but He gave me eternal life with Him.
There is no better life to live than the one He has for us. On the ups and downs in life’s merry-go-round, God is with us to take us through whatever He places before us. And just like Jesus walked Peter to the boat, He walks us through the storms of life. No one is that good to us— there is no one like Him.
Oh, the blessing and joy of being found by the One who loves us beyond measure! True life, for me, began the moment I gave my heart to Jesus; and it is because of Him that I live.
No one, Father, is like You; no one. There is no Savior besides You, Jesus! In thankfulness we bow before You, for we have found that salvation comes only from You. We agree with Moses, “Who is like You among the gods, O LORD? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders?” (Exodus 15:11, NASB). You are the one and only Most High God, exalted and enthroned in heaven. Amen.
