We love Him because He first loved us.
~1 John 4:19 ~
I love Jesus. I love Him because He first loved me.
In a moment, He revealed Himself to me, captured my soul, and transformed me. He saved me from a life without love, loneliness, and condemning shame and guilt.
In that moment, His love overwhelmed me and I gave myself to Him. His presence filled my soul and I was no longer lonely. His forgiveness washed over me and cleansed me from the shame and guilt.
Now I live with expectancy, awaiting His descent from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, in order that I be caught up . . . in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).
It has been twenty-five years since I became His beloved. Much has happened in that time: Marriage, a child, chronic illness, and myriad other things that have been and are being experienced and learned. Through it all, Jesus has walked alongside me. This blog is a result of those years and present events.
This is also an invitation to all who are unloved, lonely, filled with shame and guilt, thirsting for a new and better life, or are weak, to come to the true fountain of life that can be found in Jesus Christ and drink of the
Stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
In the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep
~ All Who Are Thirsty ~
